The image that was most successful was from my Identity assignment : part 3. The photo of my puppy Romeo with the reflection of him looking at me. ( #7 Photo). All of the elements of the frame support the subject and there is not distracting backgrounds that take away from the strength of the image. The 9 compositional rules utilized in the photo are rule of thirds, contrast, focal point, center the dominant eye, get close and leading lines, symmetry, middle and low point of view, framing. The depth of field was used in the photo to exaggerate Romeo's eye reflection. Focus is manipulated to focus on Romeo's eye. The color and lighting impacts the photo with vibrant colors. I cropped the photo a little to make Romeo's eye the focal point and the reflection in his eye. In the image, it conveys me because Romeo is my puppy and I love him a lot. He teaches me about patience and responsibility. In the image, there is a reflection of him looking at me and symbolizes that Romeo looks to me to take care of him and love him. I photographed this image in my backyard. My puppy's name is Romeo because we got him right next to Valentine's Day.
